Mayday Final Home, KL

CNY Special 8

14th Jan 2006. KL was the last stop of Mayday's Final Home Concert tour. It was supposed to be held December last year but it was postponed till yesterday. The reason for that is still unknown. I was a fan of the band had the opportunity to attend the concert, their first in Malaysia after six years since their debut.


Gloomy day....

It rained. We were stuck in the line, waiting to be allowed into the stadium.


Sea of red. The rain did not dampen their spirit.

After 3 hours of wait, we were finally allowed to get into the stadium.

We were at the Rock Zone and we picked the spot just in front of the platform which was extended from the stage. Thus, giving us a chance to look at them upclose.

The concert started with a hilarious introductory clip from Gua You, the guitarist of Mayday.

The concert started with Sun Wu Kong after Guai Shou descended on a platform hanged from the roof of the stage by wire.

The concert reached its climax at the song "Zhi Ming & Chun Jiao" and the fan sang the score in uniform with all their heart. Other songs include "Zhi Zhu", "Xiang Xin" and etc. They also sang some songs which they wrote for other artists.

The concert ended about midnight. It end is rather abrupt when the fans were expecting an encore. The fans started to leave the stadium when the crew members started to packed up the equipments and the hope of seeing the band one last time faded.
