New Year, New appearance

I removed the old road blog, the obstacle.

Now, i can blog, without slowing down.
9th day of Lunar New Year.... 天公诞快乐!

No point filling in the blogs between Lunar New Year and today. They would be about eating, drinking and gambling if i did fill them in. Holiday ends today and Monday blue kicks in. As usual, the holiday is too short and angpau is too little.

Today is also a big day for the film industry where films and motion pictures are awarded the much coveted golden statue of Oscar for their achievements and contributions. Martin Scorsese finally got his award. The Departed which won the Best Picture was adapted from HK's Infernal Affairs. It is an acknowlegdement to the HK film industry.

Most importantly Al Gore's The Incoveniet Truth won the Best Documentary Feature. Perhaps people would have a second look of this film which they use to ignore. Those who ridiculed my poor brother for introducing the film in his class might pay interest in the film and also the global warming. Award always do a film good by increasing its popularity and inflating its box office. Smart move by the Malaysian movie industry to screen this year old documentary in the cinemas only after the Oscars. Don't miss this documentary. Its an Oscar-winning film anyway. You should know more. In cinemas March 15.

Same old story

Bloody hot in KL.

Thick snow in New York.

Floods in Jakarta.

Crazy weather in the Aussie.

same old story...

It doesn't concern me if the rest are in havoc while KL is still ok. Probably i'm damn selfish that all i care is the blazing heat in KL. At least i care about my country, my home because my livelihood, eveything i survived on depends on it. At least i am better than those who blamed their floods on Singapore and those who shrugged off the problem.

My selfishness...justified. Their ignorance... Not!

I care about KL. Have you ever wonder or care to find out what happened at your place, your neighbourhood, your country? Got nature's hints yet? It's just the same old story of global warming.

Subject: Me

Time: 8.30am

Place: IMU library

Status: Denied access

Reason: Improper attire (no tie)

Hardnut to swallow: Librarian who refused my entry did not have a tie on himself (So does the other male librarian).

Burung gagak hitam belaka,
suka bising cakap sampah.
Hari jumaat saya ada pakai seluar,
Lupa pakai tie saja.

Emak selalu nasihat saya,
orang gemuk jangan ketawa.
Sendiri bukan kurus juga,
satu hari nanti sama-sama.

Jambatan MRR2 baru buruk belaka,
Orang besar enggan bertanggung salah.
Jurutera takut bersuara,
saya sama juga terpaksa belajar di luar.

Kalau kita berbuat salah,
harus minta maaf dari semua.
Sebelum nasihat orang muda,
betulkan sendiri dulu-lah!

I apologize for my lousy languages. I will not forget to put on my tie.

Why do you need a SMART TAG in KL....

1. You will be able to avoid the long queues before the toll eg. at LDP. No matter how fast u pass the toll, u would still need to endure the jam after the toll anyway.

2. So you can fork out RM100 for the priviledge of driving in 2 special lanes. You may not need to stop, but you would need to slow down to 10km/h!? Beware of the barrier!

3. No more ah beng driving criss-crossing, tailgating, cutting queue problems at the tolls. No more "*dulans" ! *fr crushedguava.blogspot.com

4. U don't need to pay more at the tolls. U still pay the same toll-fare.

5. You don't have to wind down ur side windows to scan ur pathetic touch n' go card onto the scanner.

6. As u see, SMART TAG stands for SMART Touch n' GO. It is a upgraded, smarter version of touch n' GO, to the extent that you don't have to "Touch" anymore!

Hanging on.... stress-nya!

I passed by the Lord Murugan statue at Batu Caves in the jam on my way back from Ampang. Hindu is not my religion. But i just felt a sense of tranquility, calmness that came back to me. Lack of sleep and fatigue from schoolwork is chronic and i had a moment of relief. I put my hands together, in awe of the power of faith, the power of bilion manifestations of buddha in the world of impurity. Happy Thaipusam!
